What I’m up to!

Crochet Feature – Party Puppet!

One of my favorite hobbies, and ways to keep myself creative, is fiber art! I knit, crochet, have dyed my own yarn, and hope to start hand spinning yarn this year!

Recently, I crocheted a gift for a friend that felt (almost) too special to give up. I am very proud of this project and wanted to share it with more people. So, I figured the best solution to feeling like I still had a part of this creation was a photo shoot!

Introducing… The Party Monster!

Party Monster is crocheted by hand. He was completely freehand (without a pattern) and I just kind of made things up as I went along!

He is made primarily of acrylic yarn, with some wool in his hair. His mouth is reinforced with repurposed plastic, and he is stuffed with poly-fil.

This Party Monster has been happily gifted, and my favorite part of crocheting is being able to give my finished projects away.
